As of 24 October 2026, 9:30 PM IST, Mercury is transiting Libra, not Taurus. The essay below is the meaning of this sign placement whenever it is active.
Mercury is transiting Taurus. This gochara mixes the planet's own nature with steadiness, appetite, and a love of what lasts. The mind likes tangible study — money, art, craft. Voice, value, and a slow fluency. You learn by repetition that becomes beauty. Stubborn opinion about price and about taste. Update the ledger.
Throat and the purse of words. Sing, sell, or both. A business of lasting things. Do not freeze the curriculum. Kind speech is an asset. Hoarded silence is not wisdom here.
This describes Mercury moving through Taurus, not a natal placement. Dignity, combustion, retrograde motion, and aspects to your chart can raise or soften every line. A personal reading names the house from your Moon and lagna, and the dasha that will ripen it.
