As of 24 October 2026, 9:30 PM IST, Mars is transiting Cancer, not Capricorn. The essay below is the meaning of this sign placement whenever it is active.
Mars is transiting Capricorn. This gochara mixes the planet's own nature with duty, time, and a long climb. This is a strong martial seat: disciplined effort, slow victory. You work like time. Status through labour. Bones and knees, a long climb. Anger becomes a plan. The leak is delayed explosion after years of 'later'.
Government, engineering, construction, a mountain of a project. Cold command. Warm the troops. You still need them. Victory in the tenth year is still victory. Do not envy the sprinter.
This describes Mars moving through Capricorn, not a natal placement. Dignity, combustion, retrograde motion, and aspects to your chart can raise or soften every line. A personal reading names the house from your Moon and lagna, and the dasha that will ripen it.
